Position: Inside Sales

Summary:

Members of Cane Creek’s Inside Sales Group (ISG) are extroverted communicators who enjoy speaking with people from all disciplines of cycling, solving their problems, and communicating how our products can enhance their riding experience.

ISGs will proactively contact Independent Bicycle Dealers in an assigned territory on a regular basis with the intention of educating, inspiring, and increasing sales. The primary objective of this position will be growing sales while continuing to provide exceptional customer service; be it over the phone, in-person or email, with new and current dealers and consumers.

ISG’s will work alongside other members of the ISG Team to handle all in-bound customer calls, manage B2B orders, and e-mailed or will-call orders. They will also provide answers to customer service issues and report on any repeat issues, leading to better experiences for all users of our products. In addition, they will occasionally represent Cane Creek at events, races, trail rider-engagements and conduct in-house factory tours.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Proactively calling dealers within assigned territories to talk about Cane Creek and our products, with the intention of eventually selling products to them. Education is a big component here.
  • Maintaining and increasing sales volume, while meeting or exceeding pre-set weekly sales quotas.
  • Accurately and efficiently entering orders into our ERP system from all dealers or consumers, be it by email, phone or walk-in.
  • Assisting with, and occasionally traveling to: trade shows, rider engagements, special events, races and other sales/company events that may occur on weekends or evenings.
  • Entering and handling RMAs as needed, and as back-up to our Customer Service Manager.
  • Receiving and managing incoming calls and emails on all subjects.
  • Attracting potential customers by answering product and service questions; suggesting other products and services and providing product, promotion and pricing information.
  • Coordinating and tracking customer requests and qualified leads, and performing business development tasks.
  • Managing backorders and communicating with customers on their orders, as needed.
  • Learning and maintaining technical knowledge on all Cane Creek products and components. (We do provide product training and do not expect interested parties to come in being a Cane Creek product encyclopedia).
  • Maintaining customer and warranty databases by inputting data and updates as needed.
  • Promptly addressing consumer issues in a timely and positive fashion that has the potential to garner a customer for life.
  • Occasionally conducting facility tours for customers and groups, assisting the Experience Center manager with walk-ins and will-call, keeping the front area organized and clean and filling in in the Experience Center as needed.
  • Other duties as markets shift.
  • This is an in-house position located in our Fletcher, NC facility. Remote cannot be considered.
