Invert Enduro Brings Inverted Forks to More Riders With Less Cost and Hassle

Asheville, NC -

Invert Enduro is the suspension fork that brings the traction and smoothness of moto-style inverted forks to more riders with less cost and hassle. It gives riders dirt bike confidence on their mountain bike. Riders that have ridden the fork are already stating that it's helped them unlock trails and features that they had been dreaming to check off.

With more travel options, dual axle compatibility, and a price point that's nearly 30% less than the competition, Cane Creek believes that Invert Enduro will make the benefits of inverted forks more accessible to riders than ever before. This is made possible largely by the fact that Cane Creek builds all suspension in-house at their Western North Carolina facility. They've honed their production methods in recent years and are working hard to make premium, aftermarket suspension less expensive.

Highlights

  • 160mm - 180mm travel
  • Overbuilt, moto-inspired chassis built to handle the weight, power, and speed of modern e-MTB.
  • Dual axle compatibility: 15mm or 20mm
  • Thrives in steep, fast, rough, and high-speed terrain
  • For long travel trail, enduro, bike park, and electric mountain bikes

Why Inverted?

Inspired by their own love, respect, and active participation in motorcycles and dirt bikes, Cane Creek began down the path of inverted fork design with their Invert gravel fork, which launched two years ago. The success and positive rider feedback they've received has reaffirmed Cane Creek's belief that the inverted layout really does produce a game-changing ride quality and it's one they are excited to continue pursuing in the mountain bike space. According to Cane Creek, the magic of Inverted forks is described in two words – Smoothness and Traction.

By placing the larger, stiffer tubes up top and the bushings closer to the axle, inverted forks better resist the fore/aft flex that causes binding, friction, and chatter. The inverted design also offers significantly more front wheel traction by allowing the tire to 'swim' - not skip - through rough, loose, and off-camber sections.

Together, this produces the magically smooth, calm, and planted front end that inverted forks are known for. Moto figured it out first, and now mountain bikes have unlocked it.

SquareLoc Axle System

Two Axle Options

With inverted forks, the majority of the feel and performance comes from the axle. Invert Enduro's SquareLoc axle keys to the dropouts, then locks in place with 4 pinch bolts to secure the entire fork together. This keeps the legs from twisting around the axle and adds all the needed torsional stiffness to the fork. With SqaureLoc, riders can tune the exact flex characteristic of the fork to suit their preferences.

Invert will come with a 15mm axle out of the box, a decision Cane Creek made in order to make the fork easy to plug in to any enduro bike without having to change front wheels or hubs.

Thanks to the SquareLoc design, the fork chassis performs better than the competition in this more user-friendly 15mm setting. If a rider chooses to, they can purchase the 20mm axle separately to unlock even more stiffness, confidence, and precise handling from the fork. The 20mm axle allows Invert Enduro to more closely rival the stiffness of conventional enduro forks while still preserving the magical smoothness and wheel tracking of an inverted fork.

15mm Axle

  • 17-4 Pre-Hardened Stainless Steel for maximum stiffness
  • Included with Invert Enduro.
  • Suitable for most riders.
  • 17% more torsional stiffness than other inverted single crown forks*.
  • Compatible with most riders' current front wheel – the plug & play solution.
  • Gives max traction by allowing front tire to stay planted instead of skipping/deflecting.

20mm Axle

  • 17-4 Pre-Hardened Stainless Steel for maximum stiffness
  • Available Separately.
  • Offers maximum torsional stiffness, steering precision, and most direct front end feel.
  • 42% more torsional stiffness than other inverted single crown forks*.
  • Optimal performance for heavier riders or those on full power e-bikes.

SideSwipe Guards

Protection Where It's Needed

Motorcycles use fork guards that face forwards to protect the stanchion tubes from debris being kicked up at high speed by the riders ahead. Mountain bikes simply don't have this problem and therefore don't need their fork guards placed in the same orientation. Invert Enduro's SideSwipe guards are shifted to the side of the fork, where mtb forks actually take abuse*. This results in a better-looking layout that's more specific to the mountain bike application.

*Cane Creek studied damage on countless real-world forks to confidently determine where to place guards.

E-Bike Ready

While it suits analog bikes just fine, Cane Creek made sure that the Invert Enduro chassis was built to handle the weight, power, and speed of modern e-MTBs. 45mm diameter upper tubes paired with 38mm lower tubes and the SquareLoc axle system make the Invert one of the most robust single crown enduro forks available. Cane Creek performed a large portion of its development and testing on full power e-bikes in bike park environments in order to be confident that the chassis, spring, and damper could accommodate this expanded range of forces and speeds.

ForkTuner App

With the launch of Invert Enduro, Cane Creek is expanding their suite of suspension tuning apps with the all-new ForkTuner. This free web app walks riders through the full setup and tuning procedure – the same one used by OEM and pro riders – and helps riders identify a tune that works for them regardless of their riding style. It's an interactive suspension tuning coach that riders can utilize trailside and then use to log their settings. ForkTuner comes as a sequel to Cane Creek's existing ShockTuner app and will cover setup for both Helm mkII and Invert Enduro.

Internals, Adjustments, and Setup

On the damper side, Cane Creek is carrying forward the same one used in their Helm MKII fork. It's a closed cartridge, monotube damper with a bladder – a common design found in many modern mtb forks. It offers independent high and low speed compression, paired with a single rebound adjuster. Cane Creek says this second-generation damper is a trusted and proven design, boasting a less that 0.5% warranty rate globally over the last 5 years. Cane Creek says they were happy enough with both the range of adjustment and performance of the damper on the new chassis and thus, didn't feel the need to add complexities here. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

However, the air spring in Invert Enduro is all-new for Cane Creek.

Invert Enduro is moving to a charge-port style air spring that self equalizes instead of the system used on their Helm forks that required manual positive/negative air spring equalization. The more-conventional charge port design makes setup much simpler, and guarantees a much more sensitive spring. This was critical in Cane Creek's mind, as they wanted Invert Enduro to be as smooth and supple as it could possibly be. Fork travel can still be changed, but like most conventional forks, will require separate air spring parts.

The new Invert air spring will still use Cane Creek's signature onboard volume adjustment system, however. This allows riders to tune the progression of the fork without the need for additional volume spacers.

To make setup easy, Invert Enduro is equipped with suggested sag marks on the drive side stanchion guard. Riders need to simply adjust air pressure until their sag ring lines up with the corresponding sag mark. No measuring tapes required.

Pricing

Complete forks (including guards) and 15mm SquareLoc axle will retail for $1599.99 USD. The 20mm SquareLoc axle will be sold separately for $89.99 USD. No other parts are needed for the conversion. The swap can be done without special tools, by simply removing the 15mm axle adapter that comes installed in the fork.

Pre-Order & Availability

Cane Creek is excited to introduce their Invert Enduro fork on Thursday, April 16th. They will be offering a two-week window for customers to make a $100 deposit to reserve exclusive early access to the Invert Enduro fork. Forks are expected to ship Summer 2026.

An early deposit not only guarantees early access, but also grants riders an additional $100 off the price of the fork – a savings they will get at the time of purchase, once forks are available this summer.

Cane Creek is so confident riders will love their Invert Enduro fork, they are backing each riders' purchase with a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Invert Enduro will be available to everyone, Summer 2026 at www.canecreek.com, select retailers and distributors. Ask your local bike shop about Invert Enduro today.
