Not everybody who wants to ride a bike can just grab one and hit the trail. Catalyst Sports is out to change that, and we're proud to help.

Catalyst makes mountain biking possible for people with physical disabilities. They've got the adaptive bikes, volunteers who know how to run a good ride, and a community that shows up. Put that together and a lot more people get to spend a day on the trail.

And it's not just one trail or one town. Catalyst runs full-time adaptive mountain bike programs in Eastern Tennessee, Western North Carolina, the DC/Maryland/Virginia area, and North Central Georgia, plus camps and rides all over the Southeast. Last year more than 1,000 people rode with them.

If you've been to a Catalyst ride, you already know the best part is the smiles. Everybody turns out — new riders, people who've been at it for years, volunteers and families, — and they all want the same thing: a good day outside.

Trails really are for everyone.

Here's what we're working on this year. Cane Creek and our local Catalyst chapter here in WNC are raising money to build two adaptive bikes, and we're building one live at the CRAFTED Bicycle & Gear Show on September 27. One goes into the Catalyst fleet so more riders in our area can use it. The other is a surprise for someone in our community who's getting a bike of their own.

We make bike parts for a living, but we've never thought that's all this is. We're part of a riding community, and we want it to be a place where everybody feels welcome.

So supporting Catalyst was an easy call. They're helping more people get out on the trail, make some friends, and feel what a good ride can do for you.

If you can, please donate using the QR code above. Every bit helps put another rider on the trail.

And that's something we'll always be proud to support.
