Introducing GXC Seatpost

Press Release : Cane Creek Introduces Premium, Lightweight GXC Seatpost

Asheville, NC

Today, Cane Creek is excited to announce the GXC seatpost – a lightweight, alloy post that delivers great aesthetics, quality, and high value. Its clean, timeless look works on just about any bike, and it's light enough to rival much more expensive carbon posts when it comes time to plan the next custom build. The GXC seatpost is meant to be the perfect match to Cane Creek’s popular GXC stem, which debuted last year.

Cane Creek created its GXC line to offer “premium upgrades that don’t carry a premium price tag.” Building on the success of the GXC Stem, Cane Creek wanted its first rigid seatpost to be something that exemplified craftsmanship and attention to detail while remaining affordable. At $89.99, it’s a feasible upgrade for any rider looking to improve the look, feel, and reliability of their road, gravel, or cross-country bike.

Starting at 236g, the GXC falls right in line with other premium alloy options and is only slightly heavier than carbon posts at triple the price. To make the buying process easy, Cane Creek chose a single 10mm offset – the median offering of the rest of the market. With this 'neutral' offset, Cane Creek says that most riders should be able to dial in their preferred saddle position using the fore/aft adjustment of the saddle rails.

The GXC seatpost uses durable, stainless steel clamp hardware and a special front bolt that can be adjusted by hand, 4mm hex, or 16mm box end wrench. This 3-way adjuster gives riders multiple angles and ways of adjusting the saddle position, either from the side, or from the top when paired with a cutout saddle. A hidden forward barrel nut keeps the drive side view as clean as possible.

Like all Cane Creek components, the GXC seatpost was designed, developed, and proven in the mountains of Western North Carolina. It will be available starting Wednesday, August 5th for only $89.99 USD at Canecreek.com and select dealers and retailers. Ask your local bike shop about this and any other Cane Creek product.
