2018 Frostbike and CABDA

Freezing temperatures, ice encrusted tundra, and frozen lakes on paper doesn’t sound like the best environment for a cycling trade show does it?  But the inhabitants of the United State’s Great Lakes Region are tuff and it will take a lot more than some less then ideal conditions to slow them down.  Cane Creek Cycling Components was invited to partake in not one but two of the areas most premier events, the Chicagoland Area Bicycle Dealer Association: CABDA show and the Quality Bicycles Product’s Frostbike.  Both events focus on providing a pre-season glimpse into what select manufactures and brands have in store for the upcoming spring.

Our mission was simple; meet face to face with the mechanics, LBS owners, and industry insiders and tell our story of who we are, what we do, and why we do it.

First up was CABDA located in Schaumburg, IL attaching nearly 2,000 attendees from ~485 different shops

Here is Craig T. CC’s Retail Service Manager talking through some of the finer details of our Standardized Headset Identification System (aka. S.H.I.S)

We had to try Chicago’s famous deep dish pizza! Gino’s East did not disappoint!

The National Interscholastic Cycling Association was a major topic of conversation.  We are psyched to be supporting our own local North Carolina teams!
