Cane Creek Marketing Manager reached out and we talked on the phone and he explained how to remove the expander plug from the steer tube. He also sent me a video that he shot on how to remove the expander plug from the steer tube. This product is very good and works very well. Cane Creek also said it was their bad becasue they did not add any removal instructions on how to remove the expander plug from the steer tube.

Great product because it allows flexibility as it relates to handlebar height while safely protecting the steerer tube from damage! As a fitter I always want flexibility for myself and my clients depending on there flexibility and other factors that determine proper handlebar position.
