Are you running a DBCoil or Air? You might need a higher spring rate or a volume reducer.

coil, 350x3, been thinking of trying to track down a 375, but not easy, 400 would probably be too stiff as im only just over 10stone (however admittedly a heavy rider for my weight if that makes sense)

If you go up to the 400 you will be able to lower the preload and take out some HSC. This will give you a nice plush ride w/o having to use tons of HSC to prevent bottom out.
