Original Design
Our air-driven shock achieves progressive suspension performance by manipulating air pressure and flow through speed-sensitive valving. It's our own patented design—one that fought an uphill battle against the prevailing status quo of coil-spring and oil/air shocks but has since been embraced (and emulated) as a superior shock for bicycles. Our Cloud Nine continues to lead the way in air shocks.
Plush Travel
We invented the air negative spring, which negates stiction and makes our shocks responsive to small bumps as well as big hits. Compression and rebound damping are smooth and predictable.
Low Weight
Cane Creek shocks are the lightest available, typically weighing 207-259 grams, depending on the model and size. They're lighter than other air shocks and half the weight of coil shocks.
Tunability
More so than any other shock, our shocks are custom-tunable. Already pre-tuned to match a specific frame design, the shocks adjust spring curve and damping rates through air pressure, volumes, and valve components, enabling the rider to account accurately for weight, terrain and personal preference.
Maintenance
Air is the medium, and air is simple and clean, so all Cane Creek shocks are low-maintenance (and easily serviceable when the time finally comes). Spend more time riding, less time tweaking.
Availability
We make three related models (Cloud Nine , AD-12 and AD-5 ) in a wide range of pre-tuned bike-specific configurations. In fact, Cane Creek fits the most suspension bikes of any shock manufacturer.
Experience
No other company has a longer or more committed track record with air shocks for mountain bikes. We believed in them before, we believe in them now. And Cane Creek created the air negative spring that transformed air-shock performance.
